What Are You Playing? - Masterful May 2026

We're now one-third of the way through the year. What's everyone up to in May?

For the first time during one of these things, I don't actually have that much to contribute. I'm sure that'll change in due time.

  • I never got around to The Last of Us so finally gave it a go. Interesting gameplay and obviously excellent story. Though, it does seem strange to be in zombie-fungus apocalypse and like everyone is dead yet there are still dozens of hunters trying to kill us. Like I get it for gameplay’s sake but really, once you see me take out half your entire population, you’d think some would say “I’m not paid enough for this” and just run away…

  • This month I am trying to play and finish FFVII Remake.

    Still on chapter 9. What a great game

  • I played a bit of Factorio this month, and this evening I hopped onto Path of Exile 2 to see what we might be able to do for guides on the website. Still to be determined on that second one, but the brief Factorio I played was enjoyable.

    Oh yes, and I did grab Pokopia and it's very well made. I haven't gotten far enough to where I feel like I can write a proper review for it, but it's a very solid relaxing game and it has a lot of what I wish Animal Crossing would have even though it's a totally different kind of game. The simple fact that you can join a multiplayer game in like two button presses vs Animal Crossing's menu insanity is a huge improvement.

    I haven't played many games over the past couple of months but the desire to play games has at least returned. FeelsGoodMan
